Exercise a little; walk with God !  

 The first quarter will be a preparation for Confirmation, with tests on all the information learned concerning the morals and teaching of the church: sacraments, 10 commandments of God, and the precepts of the church. The students will need to choose their saint's name for confirmation, know something about the saint, and why they chose that name.  They will need to know who their sponsor will be, and why they chose that person. The students have been required to write a short paper about the saint, and draw a picture depicting the life of the saint.

Throughout the year in 8th grade religion, we will always review the basic rules and teachings of the Catholic church (commandments of God and of the church, holydays and dates, works of mercy, etc.).

    We will also have units from the Faith First books all through the year.  There will be open book internet tests from the Faith First site on the computer.

This year, we will use the http://www.faithfirst.com/ web site to see about the readings for Sunday mass and other information for discussion. 

    The main thing for all the students is to learn to be the best Christian young man or lady that they can be using the talents God has given them.
